A warped scratched portrait (sgraffito) is a unique piece of artwork that can become a family keepsake. You can create your own narrative around these unique pieces in much the same way that I have built a narrative around my Warped figures.
Commissioned work can be ordered by contacting me well in advance. I usually require at least 6 weeks of lead time but I am always willing to work with a client. Due to the unique nature of this process, a partial, non-refundable payment of half the purchase price will be charged at the time of the order. This entitles the client to a preliminary sketch of the subject in order to approve the composition of the final piece and ongoing updates on the progress of the work. Acceptance of the commission will be based on the quality of the provided photo. High resolution digital images at least 1MB in size are preferred. The overall exposure and quality of the photo will impact the overall drawing. Hard copy prints or scanned images are subject to a quality review before discussions can continue. If you reside in Upstate South Carolina, I am available for meetings and to photograph the subject in the event that an acceptable photo cannot be provided. If you have questions about the process, please visit my contact page, or send an email to [email protected].
You may prefer a scratched portrait without distortion.
Graphite drawings and painted works on canvas may also be ordered. Oil paintings require 6 months or more of lead time. Please contact me for additional details on alternate media. The same image quality requirements apply.
